First Time FAQ

How long is the service?

Worship services typically last about an hour.

What is the music like?

Our worship services have music that feature a combination of traditional hymns and contemporary worship songs. The goal of worship is to glorify God by creating an environment where worshipers can experience Him though the music as well as through the teaching of God’s Word.

What is available for my kids?

Our nursery is located on the west side of the sanctuary and is available for infants and toddlers.

Sunday School

Classes for preschool through sixth grade meet during the school year. In the summer months there are activity bags for kids to use which are available at the back of the sanctuary. Preschoolers who get restless are welcome to use the nursery/toddler room next to the sound booth.

Youth Group

Junior and senior high students meets each week from September through July on Wednesdays from 6:30 – 8:15 pm. We also have a senior high/college & career age D-group Bible study that meets Sunday nights at 6p.m. We also have several special events throughout the year.

Do I have to give money?

We receive an offering as a part of our worship celebration each Sunday and we also provide giving opportunities online. This is an opportunity for those that call First Presbyterian their church home to respond to God in obedience to God’s Word and thankfulness for what he has done. Visitors are welcome to worship through giving but should not feel any obligation to do so.
